Ethan Wintrow is a graduate from Wright State University with a Bachelor’s in Music Education, where he studied cello under Dr. Franklin Cox. He has been teaching general music at Ohio Virtual Academy since 2014, and has two years’ experience teaching private lessons for cello, violin, and music theory. He has performed with WSU’s Chamber and Symphony orchestras as well as the Miami Valley Symphony, and has experience with solo, accompanied, duet, and quartet performances. Ethan typically uses the Essential Elements curriculum for beginner students and Suzuki for intermediate students, incorporating the lessons into a student’s school performance pieces (if applicable) with an emphasis on slow, methodical practice. For advanced students, the lessons transition into etudes from Dotzauer and Popper.
