Andrew Mitakides

Theatre, Guitar, Piano, & Voice

I have been lucky enough to perform all over the country doing theater, TV, Broadway, Summer Stock, radio, emceeing, auctioneering and anything else with a microphone. I have worked with some amazing people and learned so much. Amazing directors, fantastic stage hands and phenomenal actors have lead me to come back to teaching and share the knowledge. I have spoken all over about the performances and my experiences. I have done every aspect of acting that allows me to know what a student might need or the struggles they are going through. Andrew teaches: Acting, Drama, Shakespeare, Monologue work, Camera work, Auditions, Improv, Voice acting and Voice Over, Film Acting, Musical Theater, Piano, Guitar, Body Movement, Alexander Technique.

Teaching Philosophy

As an actor people don't realize you have many choices but a great responsibility. You can choose to play a character one way or another, to lend your self over to the process and technique, but people come to the movies, theater and shows to get away and be entertained. As actors it can be a ride, a moment or a process, but I love to help my students discover what they are capable of, what's inside them and what they can share. I trust in my students because I know they can trust in me.
