Most people think of being musical from the stand point, “you either have it or you don’t”, I believe this false. All children can learn to sing and dance with proper exposure and instruction. My mission is to help my student find the joy that music can bring, while also building new skills through music.
“The artist is nothing without the gift, but the gift is nothing without the work.” ~ Émile Zola
For Parents: Work practice time into the bedtime routine and practice no more than the child’s age. Ex: John is 8 so he practices for 8 minutes. Make it fun and be involved when they are young. Have them teach you something they learned in their lesson.
